TRIBE Impact Report 2024
The TRIBE story began in 2013 when our co-founders Tom, Rob, and Guy ran 1,000 miles from Odessa to Dubrovnik, raising funds to set up the first UK home for trafficked children. Over the course of 4 weeks, over 250 runners joined them on their journey, raising over £250,000. They called it ‘Run For Love’.
During the challenge, our founders realised that the protein snacks fuelling their journey were synthetic and high in sugar. They tried eating trail mixes of nuts and dried fruit as a healthy alternative, but these were difficult to consume on the move. They needed a solution. So on their return home, they got to work developing a 100% natural protein bar. After years of trialling and testing, TRIBE was born in 2016. Inspired by Run For Love, Tom, Rob, and Guy created a 100% natural, protein-packed snack to fuel adventures.
Since Run for Love, we have continued to work towards our mission, mobilising thousands of everyday athletes and adventurers to push their own limits to help increase awareness of modern slavery and end human trafficking. Our sister charity, the TRIBE Freedom Foundation was set up in 2018. To this day, 1p from every TRIBE product sold is donated to the TRIBE Freedom Foundation. We’ve now raised millions to fight modern slavery.
