At Half the Story, we create delicious, crunchy shortbread biscuits that melt in your mouth — but as our name suggests, there’s more to the story.

 

Founded in Nottingham, we’re a social enterprise dedicated to creating life-changing employment for those who have faced barriers to work, especially homelessness.

 

Half the Story How it works

Finding a house is just beginning – to thrive, people need support in finding and keeping a job. Working in our bakery provides a safe, stable job with good hours and the real Living Wage. Every member of our team is offered mentoring and supported in their career journey. That’s where you join the story; every biscuit purchased brings hope, dignity and purpose back into someone’s life.

 

 

Our range available through Delicious Ideas:

Half the Story twin packs are available in Original (vegan), Choc Chip, and Lemon flavours, each 38g. All packaging is recyclable or commercially compostable, to minimise our environmental impact. Each pack includes a QR code that links to our story and social impact, allowing consumers to connect with the positive change their purchase creates.
