LoveRaw: Game Changing Plant-based Chocolate
In 2013, Rimi and Manav Thapar embarked on their LoveRaw journey, launching the brand right from their humble Manchester garage, armed with a meagre budget of only £600.
Their entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering determination led them to a pivotal moment in 2019 when they boldly entered the indulgent chocolate market with huge aspirations of making plant-based chocolate a household favourite.
Along their journey, they made a courageous decision to decline an offer from Dragons’ Den, steadfastly adhering to their core principle: “chocolate first, vegan second.” This strategic decision has paid off, with LoveRaw emerging as the fastest-growing plant-based chocolate brand in 2022*. LoveRaw products now feature on shelves of major high-street and online retailers, with 10,000 distribution points including Tesco, ASDA, Selfridges and many more, and key international retailers such as Albert Heijn in the Netherlands, Virgin Atlantic Airline, Spinneys in UAE, aswell as 25 countries worldwide.
Plant-Based
The inspiration for LoveRaw came from the challenges that Rimi and Manav encountered when they themselves were living a plant based lifestyle. LoveRaw was created to provide plant-based products that are so delicious they can be enjoyed by everyone, whether they are plant-based or not, removing the stigma by proving that plant-based food can taste even better than its traditional counterparts.
The vision
To craft chocolate that not only surpassed the taste of heritage chocolate but also boasted sustainable and ethical ingredients. LoveRaw proudly carries the B Corp certification, standing as a shining example of a business that is committed to being a force for good.
