The Gut Stuff: Spreading the Good Gut Word
1 in 4 people have digestive issues, but your gut is linked to so much more including the health of your heart, skin, brain and even your mental health and immunity.
So given gut health is so important to everyone’s health & wellbeing, why is information not readily available? And why are products confusing and expensive? The Gut Stuff was founded to change that. We believe gut health should be a right, not a privilege which is why our mission is to empower gut health in EVERYONE.
While volunteering for Twin Research with Tim Spector, my twin sister and I (former DJs The Mac Twins) became the ‘chief guinea pigs’ for medical research. We were jet propelled into a world of health and wellness, where we quickly realised how important the gut is to everyone, yet the information wasn’t widely available. We founded The Gut Stuff to bring what we’d learnt to the masses; growing an expert team of scientists, nutritionists, dieticians and doctors to keep us on the right side of the tracks when it comes to the bullsh*t vs the real sh*t.
Spreading the good gut word
The Gut Stuff was created to improve the gut health of the nation, but to educate the masses and make ACTUAL change, we knew we’d have to show up in unexpected places. We are seated on the NHS Food Review board, we are currently piloting modules for the UK School Curriculum so the next generation can grow up knowing how to look after their gut AND this year we launched our very own Channel 4 TV show, “Know your S***”, all in the effort to achieve our mission.
Giving people gut-friendly options!
With a business built on education first, we quickly realised that we also needed to provide people with solutions so they can live the gut life which is why we launched our gut-friendly high fibre fruit & nut bars.
